The GenAI task type in Procify brings Artificial Intelligence into your workflows, helping you reduce manual work. One of its key capabilities is Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), a feature that enables the system to read, classify, and interpret uploaded documents without manual intervention.
This is ideal for processes where files need to be reviewed, sorted, or acted upon based on their content.
How IDP works
When configuring an IDP task in the Workflow Builder, you define how the system should classify incoming documents. Start by selecting the file variable you want the AI to analyze. Then, create a list of categories that represent the possible document type the system will receive (e.g., "Invoice", "ID Card", "Contract"). For each category, you can add a brief description outlining what the document typically looks like or contains. These descriptions help guide the AI model in making more accurate and reliable classifications.
Execution of the IDP task
Once the workflow is triggered and the selected file is passed over to the IDP GenAI task, the system processes the document and classifies it based on the defined categories. Also, a confidence score is returned, showing how confident the AI is in its classification. This score helps users evaluate whether the result is trustworthy or needs review.
