What is a Workflow

Modified on Tue, 23 Jul at 7:01 PM

A workflow is the clear sequence of tasks that should be completed to achieve a specific business objective. It is meant to streamline the movement of information, documents, and tasks from one participant or system to another, ensuring that each step is executed in a predefined order.

In Procify, each workflow refers to a specific business process with a clearly defined sequence of activities that need to be performed in a particular order, to get completed. Each activity, manual or automatic, is a task in the workflow and it contributes towards achieving the overall goal of this particular process. A business process can be a purchase request, the onboarding of a new employee, vendor management, call center support, and many more.

Procify is an industry and department-agnostic tool, meaning that an organization can digitize and automate the processes of their different departments easily and without using multiple similar tools.

When executing your processes within Procify you increase productivity, reduce a lot of manual interventions, and improve efficiency by a great amount. Tasks that were traditionally performed manually are replaced or augmented by automated ones, and there is no need to worry about informing the right people to perform their tasks, as the system will do that automatically.

In Procify,  everything begins with the workflow. Once the workflow is built & published you can begin executing it and collecting data regarding how your processes run.
