Re-Assign a Task

Sometimes, a task needs to be passed from one team member to another, whether due to availability, workload, or a shift in responsibilities. If there are other eligible assignees for this task, you can easily re-assign the task to someone else.




Only users with the appropriate permissions can re-assign tasks.




How to Re-Assign a Task


From the Tasks Page

Go to the Tasks page and open the task you want to re-assign. In the task details view, click the icon next to the Assignee field, and then select the user you’d like to reassign the task to from the list.


 


From the Cases Page

Go to the Cases page and open the case containing the task you want to re-assign. In the case details view, click the icon next to the Assignee field of the task you wish, and then select the user you’d like to reassign the task to from the list. 





Reassigning a task does not reset its progress. All submitted data remain intact even after the task has been reassigned.
